Quotables from head coach Kip Drown
On the quick start to the game by the Seawolves
"It really started with turnovers. We turned the basketball over 23 times and probably four or five were in the first four minutes of the game. They were runouts and layups. We didn't give ourselves a chance between the turnovers and their 17 offensive rebounds. We outscored them in the second half 31-28, but in the first half, we didn't come ready to play."
On Stony Brook offensively
"We watched a lot of film on them, we knew they were very difficult to guard in the man. They have tremendous movement with off the ball things. We went to zone in the second half and we didn't play bad defensively with the zone, they were 6 of 23 on three-pointers, but it was the second shots that were killing us. It's got to be one and done, that gives us a chance to get out and go. Never got into an uptempo game offensively because we struggled to rebound the ball."
