Key Moments
A kill by Carly Turner put the Eagles (8-17, 2-8) ahead 12-8 in the first set. Trailing 17-14, Coastal Carolina (7-11, 6-4) scored five in a row to open a 19-17 lead, and the Chants capped the set by winning three of the last four points.

Stat of the Match
House hit .800 for the Chanticleers and Coastal Carolina hit .306 as a team while holding the Eagles to .119.

Quotables from coach Dustin Wood
On the adjustments Coastal Carolina made after the first set
"I think that was a little bit more on us. We didn't serve as aggressively. In the first set, we had some chances and opportunities and didn't execute properly. I was proud of how we handled everything with a new middle out there. We're just looking to get healthy too."

On prepping for two matches this weekend
"We have to get our right side some balls. We didn't do that very well and our pins struggled, although they did have a good block. It's just a matter of inches for our setters and for our hitters, it's just a matter of putting a little bit more pace on the ball. We'll work on it Wednesday and Thursday and attack it Friday."

Next Up
The Eagles stay at home this weekend for a pair of Sun Belt matches. GS takes on Little Rock Friday and Arkansas State Saturday and both contests are set for 6:30 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse.
