STATESBORO, Ga. – Day three, and the final day of the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships concluded Sunday evening with 21 events being score for final totals. The Eagles finished the day with six total points after an eventful afternoon in Arlington, Texas.

The Georgia Southern 4 X 400 meter Relay team began the scoring with an eighth place finish, awarding the Eagles one point for the tournament. The team consisted of
Breanna Thornton,
Desiree Blunt,
Ellunde Montgomery, and
Bailey Willett. The Blue and White's scoring continued when Sophomore
Jamelia Owens posted a 44.35m throw during the Discus event, giving the Eagles another point.

Junior
Bailey Willett capped off the Eagles scoring early in the afternoon with a fifth place finish in the 800 meter event. Willett gave the Eagles four points in the event following a 2:14.47 time. Willett was a second off of fourth place Troy for the event.
