Eagles Conclude Day Two of Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships

STATESBORO, Ga. – Day two of the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships, concluded Saturday evening with 21 events. The events ranged from Shot Put to Decathlon and began at 9:00 a.m. The day concluded at 8:25 with the Men's and Women's 3k steeplechase.

The Eagles began the day looking to score some points in a prime scoring opportunity. The Blue and White competed in nine events throughout the day. Ellunde Montgomery and Sholonda Snell qualified for the Women's 1500 meter run tomorrow evening at 5:15 p.m. The Georgia Southern 4 x 100 meter relay team will race at 5:00 p.m. Bailey Willett will race in the 800 meter event at 6:25 p.m. Kaitlin Rocker, Sholonda Snell, and Ashton Lord all qualified for the 5000 meter event, which will begin around 7:10 p.m.

The Blue and White had a very successful day of qualifying and will look to score on Day 3, in a prime scoring position. Day 3 will begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 8:15 p.m. with the Sun Belt Outdoor Championship Awards Presentation. Stay up to date with live stats and on the GSAthletics_TF twitter page.
