Kierra Camp threw three perfect innings in relief and freshman
Mekhia Freeman went 3-for-4, but it wasn't enough for the Eagles who fell to the Bobcats, 4-3. The Eagles are now 22-22 on the season, 12-9 in conference play.
The Eagles got on the board in the bottom of the first inning with a two-run homerun from senior slugger
Emily Snider. Snider has now knocked thirteen home runs during her senior campaign and has brought her RBI total to 36.
Texas State took the lead in the third inning after Taylor Webb hit a three-run homerun and put the Bobcats up 4-2.
Mekhia Freeman hit a double down the line in the fourth that brought
India Davis around to score, cutting the GS deficit 4-3.
Dixie Raley (L, 13-14) was tabbed with the loss, throwing the first four innings.
Kierra Camp came in to pitch in relief, throwing the final three innings without giving up a hit.
At the plate, Freeman led the way with three hits while
Shelby Wilson and
India Davis each had two.Â
