STATESBORO, Ga. – On Monday the Eagles hosted East Carolina University for their final home match until senior day. The blue and white would defeat the Pirates 5-2 to improve their season record to 14-5. The Eagles have taken pride in protecting home court advantage this season posting an 11-0 record, with one match remaining.
 
The Eagles will now head into a nine match road stint, beginning March 11^th in Abilene, Texas. The guys will have four matches in the state of Texas and begin Sun Belt play with UT-Arlington on March 18^th in Arlington, Texas. Following the guys trip to Texas they will head to Alabama to face off against UAB and Troy. The Eagles will cap off their road trip with a trip to Atlanta to face Georgia State, and North Carolina to face UNC-Greensboro and Appalachian State.
 
"ECU is a very consistent team," said head coach Sander Koning. "We have played ECU the last two years and lost. They are very good at the fundamentals, but we were able to be more disciplined and be more aggressive. We were able to dictate the points more and get out in front. The last couple matches the guys have been aggressive and played on our terms and it makes it easier for the guys to compete and feel comfortable. Diego and Chris really set the tone for singles and won the set in a tiebreaker to clinch the doubles point. It gave the guys an edge heading into the singles matches."
