The Eagles recent victory over ACC's Wake Forest was their first over an ACC opponent since topping Virginia Tech in 2012 when the Eagles' head coach Mark Byington was an assistant coach for the Hokies. With the additional victories over NIT Final Four participant, Cal State University - Bakersfield and last week's sweep past Bluefield State, the Eagles headed into the Gulf Coast Showcase undefeated for the season.
