CRUCIAL MOMENTS
TOP 2ND
– A three-run home run put Clemson ahead early in the inning. The Tigers added another run on a first and third situation as a runner got into a rundown, allowing the run to scamper home.
BOTTOM 2ND – With two runners aboard and one out, Matt Anderson drove in Georgia Southern's first run of the game with a single to left. The Eagles later loaded the bases in the inning, but were unable to scratch any more runs.
TOP 5TH – The Tigers hung a crooked number in the fifth, scoring six runs off four hits and an Eagle error. Chris Okey's three-run home run finished off the inning that saw all six earned runs charged against relief pitcher Ryan Frederick.
BOTTOM 6TH – Ryan Cleveland kicked off the sixth inning with a colossal solo home run to right center. Cleveland's 14th home run of the season made splash down in the pond beyond the fence in right. The Eagles got three hits to load the bases, paving the way for CJ Ballard's double with eyes which scored two more to make it a 10-4 game.
TOP 7TH – After a walk to Seth Beer to open the seventh, Weston Wilson hit a two run home run to extend the lead to 12-4.
TOP 9TH – The Tigers hung five runs in the ninth inning off three hits and an error. Andrew Cox's two run home run put a bow on Clemson's 17-4 win.

NOTES
- Connor Simmons had a solid first start of the season, scattering three hits in the second inning with four runs scored. He struck out three but walked the first two batters of the second inning to get into trouble. He retired the order in order in the first, third and fourth innings. The sophomore, however, was saddled with the loss to fall to 3-2 on the year.
- Clemson's Chris Okey was 6-for-10 in the series with two home runs and eight RBIs. Freshman Seth Beer went just 3-for-9 but scored eight runs with three walks and three hit by pitches.
- Kent Rollins, Matt Anderson and CJ Ballard each had a multi-hit game for the Eagles, going 2-for-3. The 7-8-9 hole hitters accounted for six of the Eagles eight hits in the game. Cal Baker scored twice, taking advantage of two walks on the day.
