STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Baseball's series opener against Texas State on Friday night has been washed out due to thunderstorms rolling through the region. The Eagles and Bobcats will now open the series with a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. Game two will start approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
Friday's scheduled Military Appreciation Game promotions will be rescheduled for Saturday with active duty and retired military personnel receiving free admission for the doubleheader, their families can purchase tickets for just $5.
Saturday is also Report Card Day with free admission for children who bring their report card to the ballpark with B in at least one class.
Evan Challenger will get the start in the first game while
Chase Cohen will start the second game.
The series concludes on Sunday with Vs. Cancer Day at the ballpark. Fans can join the fight against childhood cancer by donating to the cause at
