Eagles look to avenge a 16-inning loss to the Yellow Jackets

STATESBORO, GA.
– With three rounds of Sun Belt play in the books, Georgia Southern will travel to Midtown Atlanta for a midweek tilt at Georgia Tech. The Eagles dropped a 6-5 result to the Yellow Jackets back in February in a game that lasted 16 innings. The Eagles will look for revenge on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. Danny Reed and Kris Draper will be on hand to call the action on the Georgia Southern Sports Network from Learfield Sports.

- Georgia Southern will look to avenge its 16-inning, 6-5 loss to Georgia Tech on Wednesday evening in Midtown Atlanta. The Eagles have dropped four-straight games to the Yellow Jackets and trail in the all-time series 97-31.

GA. SOUTHERN TAKES 2-of-3 FROM ARKANSAS STATE
- The Eagles won the opening game of the series 8-3 behind 10 strikeouts from Evan Challenger. C.J. Brazil led the offense with three hits.
- On Saturday evening the Eagles scored four runs in the seventh to tie the game at 5-5, but a run in the ninth gave Arkansas State the 7-6 win.
- In the series finale, Georgia Southern tallied 13 hits and stranded 12 runners aboard. The Eagles got 20-straight outs from Brian Eichhorn after he gave up three runs in the first inning.
- Landon Hughes picked up his first Division I save in the series finale.

CLEVELAND ROCKS!
- Ryan Cleveland is on a team-high 13-game hit streak entering Wednesday's midweek contest at Georgia Tech.
- Cleveland is hitting .340 over the last 13 games, going 17-for-50 with three home runs, five doubles and nine walks. He has driven in 13 runs while stealing four bases.

COMING UP NEXT
After four-straight road games, the Eagles return to the friendly confines for a crucial pair of home series in league play. The Eagles host Texas State this weekend before welcoming UL Lafayette to town next weekend.
