STATESBORO, Ga.- For the first time since October, the Georgia Southern men's tennis team competes at the Wallis Tennis Complex for their spring home opener against Nicholls State on Friday. The match begins at 2:30 p.m. after the women's match against the Colonels at noon, who have competed at home twice so far this season going 1-1.
The men host two more teams this weekend as part of their six-match home stretch, playing against Jacksonville State and SCAD on Sunday. Sunday's matches against the Gamecocks and Bees begin at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. respectively.
Other than the match on Friday, the women are off from competition, until they face Stetson on Tuesday. The Lady Eagles also have an extended home stretch, with four consecutive matches in Statesboro. Tuesday's match is set for 2 p.m.
Although both the men and women's came off of losses this past weekend, they look to turn it around at home and continue to improve their 5-3 records.
