Final results
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Ariana Macioce shot 75-73-74=222 to tie for 13th, and the Georgia Southern women's golf team placed 10th at the Jacksonville Classic, which concluded Tuesday at Marsh Landing Country Club.
Georgia Southern (+47) finished 10 strokes behind Georgia State (+37) in sixth and three back of Jacksonville State in ninth (+44).
It was the fourth top-20 career finish for Macioce.
Lauren Coe shot 73-78-75=226 to tie for 28th, and
Ella Ofstedahl shot 77-75-79=231.
Iben Hvass carded a 78-79-75=232, and
Yeji Shin posted a 78-81-79=238.
The story
Coe tallied three birdies and played nine holes in the middle of her first round Monday morning 3-under to shoot 73, and Macioce played her final seven holes of the morning even par on her way to a 75,
Macioce played her final seven holes of the second round 2-under to card another 73, and Ofstedahl was even on her last eight holes to shoot a 75.
Macioce struggled a bit out of the gate in today's third round but shot even-par on her last 13 holes to post a 74. Hvass had similar struggles to start her round but played her final 14 holes 1-over for a 75, and Coe had one of three eagles in the tournament with a 3 on the par-5 14th hole to shoot 75.
