Eagles host their annual Championships
STATESBORO, Ga. – The men's tennis team will host the Georgia Southern Championships this weekend at the Wallis Tennis Center. Each day will consist of singles playing the best two-out-of-three sets with no ad scoring, and doubles playing to a pro set with no ad scoring. This will be the third preseason tournament that the Eagles will compete in.
The field consists of University of North Florida, Kennesaw State, College of Charleston, SCAD, and South Carolina State University.
"We are looking forward to hosting our tournament this year. We were able to get some quality opponents, which is always good. All of our guys are playing in it and they are excited to get going." Said Sander Koning. "We have been playing tournaments the last couple of weeks now. Last week some of them played well in the ITA Regionals and we are looking for them to keep the same level and intensity in this tournament. I want to invite everybody to come to our tournament and support our Eagles!"
LAST TIME OUT
Last time out, the Eagles traveled to Tallahassee, Florida where they would compete in the ITA Southeastern Regional Championships. Three Eagles qualified for the Main Draw.
