Eagles face Lipscomb and Belmont on Friday and Sunday
STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Men's Soccer travels to Nashville, Tenn. this weekend for a pair of games in the Lipscomb Invitational. Friday night is an 8 p.m. (ET) kickoff against Lipscomb while Sunday's matinee is set for 1 p.m. (ET) against Belmont.

The Eagles fell to 1-3 on the season last Friday with a 2-1 loss at USF. Georgia Southern went toe-to-toe with the Bulls in the match, surrendering goals in the 33rd and 49th minutes, but battling back by forcing an own goal in the 51st minute.
SCOUTING LIPSCOMB
The Bison are 1-4-0 on the year with their only win coming over No. 10 Xavier on Sept. 3. The Bison dropped a 3-2 result to Campbell and a 1-0 overtime match to Appalachian State last week in the Belmont Tournament.
SCOUTING BELMONT
The Bruins enter the weekend on a five-match losing streak. Their only win this year is a 2-0 victory over Lipscomb at home. Recently Belmont dropped a 3-2 decision to Campbell and was blanked by Appalachian State, 1-0.
SERIES HISTORY
This weekend's matches will be the second in the all-time series against both opponents after the Eagles traveled to Nashville early in the 2011 season. The Eagles defeated Lipscomb 3-1 and took a 1-0 win at Belmont to capture the Belmont Invitational that season.

Following the Belmont match, the Eagles will have a week to prepare for a Sunday evening match at North Florida on Sept. 27. The match against the Ospreys is the final non-conference tilt before league play starts on Oct. 9.
