STATESBORO, Ga. – Aaron Mizell is one of 18 finalists for the TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby Fan's Choice Award and voting is now open at FansChoiceAward.com.
Mizell led the Georgia Southern Eagles with 12 home runs and posted a .292 batting average with 12 doubles, 40 RBI and a .539 slugging percentage.
The annual award recognizes college baseball players for their inspiring accomplishments on and off the baseball field. Finalists must demonstrate leadership, commitment in all aspects of life, stay active in the community and dedicated in the classroom.
The winner will be determined by fans through Facebook voting and will be honored at the 2015 TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby. Fans can view profiles of the finalists and vote daily by visiting www.fanschoiceaward.com.
The first round of voting ends on June 8. The top-8 student-athletes advance to the second round of voting, which runs June 8-15. The final round of voting begins on June 15 and the winner will be announced on June 22.
