STATESBORO, Ga. -Â Georgia Southern will hold its first Women's Football Clinic Aug. 13, at 6 p.m. at the Ted Smith Family Football Center. Space for the clinic has opened, and ladies who wish to attend must register by Friday, Aug. 7.
"We are very excited about this event and look forward to sharing the excitement of Georgia Southern football with the ladies of Eagle Nation," said
Gleen Hart, Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Fan Experience. "It should be an exciting night, and we look forward to making this an annual event."
The 2015 Women's Football Clinic includes:- Mix and mingle with other ladies of Eagle Nation- Special welcome from head football coach Willie Fritz- Fashion show- Instruction on the basic rules and strategies of football- On-field drills led by the Georgia Southern football coaching staff- Georgia Southern gift bag with official camp t-shirt- Door prizes- Light hors d'oeuvres at 6 p.m., prior to clinic
- Cash bar- Group photo with coaches It is recommended that all participants dress casually with athletic shirts, shorts and sneakers.The cost of the clinic is $20 per person (faculty and staff from Georgia Southern are eligible for a discounted rate of $15 per person). All participants must be 18 years of age or older. Proceeds from the clinic benefit the Tickets for Kids Program, which gives many local underprivileged youth the opportunity to attend Georgia Southern football, men's and women's basketball, and other Eagle sporting events. The deadline to register for the 2015 Women's Football Clinic is August 6. Reservations are limited to the first 150 women, so sign up today! Participants must register online and bring payment to clinic.
