Day Two Recap
GULF SHORES, Ala. – Four Georgia Southern Eagles posted top-10 finishes on the final day of competition at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships.
The Eagles finished 10th in the meet with 14.5 points. Arkansas State won the Outdoor title, while Texas State and Georgia State tied for second place.
Jordan Fordham led Georgia Southern with a fourth place finish in the 100m dash. Fordham set a personal best with a time of 11.79.
Fordham was also a member of the 4x100m relay team that finished 8th. She combined with
Sadia Yansaneh,
Asha Stegall and
Chasin Gladdis to record a season-best time of 46.85.
The Eagles' 4x400m relay team of Yansaneh, Stegall,
Bailey Willett and Kiberly Thomas finished 9th with a time of 3:52.70.
Stegall set a new season best in the 400m dash and finished seventh with a time of 56.26.
Ashleigh Rasheed narrowly missed the top-10 in the triple jump and placed 12th with a leap of 11.67m.
