GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Georgia Southern Track and Field team posts four top-10 finishes on the second day of competition at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships.
The Eagles sit in 10th place with 6.5 points. Arkansas State leads all Sun Belt schools with 62 points, while Louisiana is second with 60 points.
Jordan Fordham posted the second fastest time in 100m dash and set a new personal best with a time of 11.63m. Fordham will compete tomorrow in the finals at 6:10 p.m. CT.
Asha Stegall will also be competing in the finals tomorrow of the 400m dash after she finished seventh in the preliminaries with a time of 56.28.
Georgia Southern excelled in the jumps on Saturday and had top-10 finishes in both the long jump and the high jump.
Nia Hill finished fourth in the long jump with a personal best leap of 5.85m.
Keyanna Harris cleared a height of 1.64m to finish seventh in the high jump and set a new personal best in the process.
The Sun Belt Outdoor Championships conclude tomorrow with the first event getting underway at 10 a.m. CT.
