Softball Faces Mississippi State This Weekend

Pregame moment of silence scheduled to honor the University’s recent loss
STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern continues a run of three-straight home series this weekend with a pair of games against Mississippi State. The Eagles face the Bulldogs for the first time since 2005 and trail 0-5 in the all-time series. Both games can be seen live on GS All-Access.
Eagle Softball will honor the five Georgia Southern University Nursing students that passed away and the two that were injured in the car wreck on Interstate 16 on Wednesday during their weekend series.
There will be a moment of silence before their games this weekend and the Eagles will wear stickers on their batting helmets with the School of Nursing logo. The field will have the words "GSU Strong" painted behind home plate.
