
Lanne And Codina Sala Earn Sun Belt All-Conference Honors

New Orleans, La. – Georgia Southern Men's Tennis student-athletes Ristomatti Lanne and Albert Codina Sala were honored by the league Thursday night. Lanne earned First Team All-Conference while Codina Sala was tabbed to the Second Team. The duo has played No. 1 and No. 2 singles respectively this spring season and Lanne has amassed a 13-7 record while Codina Sala is 10-10.
In addition to the honors for Lanne and Codina Sala, the league announced their Player of the Year award and Freshman of the Year award at the championship banquet Thursday night. Daniel Leitner of South Alabama took home Player of the Year honor and Appalachian State's Scott Webster was named Freshman of the Year. The All-Conference teams and individual award winners were determined by a vote of the league's 10 women's tennis head coaches.
Lanne, a 5'11" junior from Kangasala Finland enters the Sun Belt Conference Championship at 13-7 this spring season and is riding a 4 match win streak as well as winning 5 of his last 6 regular season matches this season.
