Men’s Basketball Receives Send Off from Eagle Nation

NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern fans gathered in the lobby of the Hilton Riverside to see the Eagle men's basketball team off to their semifinal contest Saturday afternoon.
Southern Pride, the Georgia Southern cheerleaders and fans and well-wishers were on hand along with GUS as the Eagles made their way down the escalator, past the concierge desk and onto the charter bus ready to take them to Lakefront Arena.
Georgia Southern tips off against ULM at 4:30 p.m. Eastern in the second of two semifinal games today, and the winner will advance to Sunday's championship contest to face either Georgia State or UL Lafayette. Today's game can be seen live on ESPN3.
Students can get free admission to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament by showing their valid school ID at the ticket window.
Ticket booklets are also still available for the tournament for $99 and give fans a chance to see every game. Eagle fans can purchase their tickets through the Georgia Southern Athletics Ticket Office by calling 1-800-GSU-WINS.
