Tookie Brown Named College Sports Madness Sun Belt Player of the Week

The freshman averaged 24 points in three games last week
STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern freshman guard Tookie Brown earned Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week honors from College Sports Madness, it was announced today.
Brown averaged 24 points, 4.3 assists, three rebounds and two steals in three games last week. He shot 51 percent from the field and 56 percent from 3-point range. Brown opened the week by tallying 20 points and four assists with no turnovers at No. 6 Duke and followed it with 25 points and four assists vs. Winthrop. He capped the week with a career-high 27 points to go along with four rebounds and five assists against Stetson.
Brown and the Eagles open Sun Belt Conference play Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Texas State. Tipoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. The Eagles take on UT Arlington Saturday, Jan. 2, before opening a four-game homestand Jan. 7 against South Alabama.
