Georgia Southern continues a five-game homestand against UALR this afternoon. It's the first game against the Trojans in program history and the first of two scheduled meetings this season.

The Eagles are in a stretch in which they play seven of eight contests at home.

The Eagles have lost their last five and are coming off a 77-74 setback to Appalachian State Thursday.

Georgia Southern is 2-5 at home and 0-3 in home Sun Belt games. The Eagles played six of their first eight Sun Belt games on the road.

The Eagles are tied for 10th in the league standings.

UALR, which is in first place in the league standings, won its first nine conference games by 20 points or more.

The Trojans had a 10-game win streak snapped with a narrow 70-69 defeat at Arkansas State Thursday night.

UALR leads the league in scoring defense (50.1 ppg) and field goal percentage defense (.350).

The Trojans are 8-2 on the road this season and 4-1 in road Sun Belt games.

Taylor Gault leads UALR in scoring with 15.1 points per game, and Shanity James averages 11.7 points and 7.3 rebounds.
