Georgia Southern caps a three-game road trip with a contest at UL Monroe Saturday.

It will be the first game in program history against UL Monroe and the first of two meetings this season. 

Following Saturday's contest, the Eagles open a five-game homestand against Appalachian State Jan. 29, in Hanner Fieldhouse.

The Eagles are coming off a 67-57 loss at Texas State Thursday. 

Georgia Southern is 1-7 on the road this season and 1-6 in road Sun Belt games.

Six of the Eagles' first eight Sun Belt games are on the road.

Georgia Southern has held six of its last nine opponents to under 38 percent shooting from the floor.

With seven rebounds against Texas State Thursday, Anna Claire Knight now has over 500 for her career.

The Eagles are in 10th place in the Sun Belt standings.

UL Monroe is 3-3 in its last six and coming off a 56-51 home win over UT Arlington Thursday.

UL Monroe is tied for seventh in the league standings.

UL Monroe is 5-3 at home and 1-3 in home Sun Belt contests.

Sharnice Brooks ranks eighth in the Sun Belt in scoring (13.8 ppg) and 11th in rebounding (6.5 rpg).
