Layup Line- Georgia Southern plays its first Sun Belt Conference home game in program history when the Eagles take on Texas State at 4:30 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse.
- It's Community Day, and general admission tickets are available for $5.
- Following today's game, five of the Eagles' next six contests will be on the road.
- It's the first meeting between the Bobcats and Eagles and the first of two slated match-ups this season.
- Senior Anna Claire Knight, who played in her 100th career game at UT Arlington Tuesday night, has 1,112 career points, 462 rebounds and 149 assists. No player in program history has recorded over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 200 assists for their career.
- Georgia Southern is 1-4 in its last five and fell 64-52 at UT Arlington in its Sun Belt opener Tuesday.
- The Eagles are 2-2 in Hanner Fieldhouse this season and have not played a game there since Dec. 6.
- Georgia Southern has held its last three opponents under 38 percent shooting from the floor and went 1-2 in those contests.
- Texas State is 3-1 in its last four and posted a 74-72 win at Troy in its Sun Belt opener Tuesday.
- The Bobcats were picked third in the Sun Belt Preseason Coaches Poll, and Erin Peoples was named preseason first-team all-conference.
- Peoples ranks fourth in the league in scoring with 15.5 points a game and seventh in rebounding with 7.6 boards an outing.
- The Bobcats are 2-3 on the road this season.
