Georgia Southern travels to Colorado where the Eagles will meet three opponents for the first time.

Georgia Southern returns five starters from last season's 28-6 team, which tied the school record for wins in a season.

The Eagles have moved from the Southern Conference, their home for the previous 22 seasons, to the Sun Belt Conference.

Georgia Southern was picked third in the Sun Belt Preseason Coaches Poll, and Jamie DeRatt and Kym Coley each garnered preseason all-league recognition. Coley was named all-tournament at the Active Ankle Challenge last weekend.

Senior Jamie DeRatt is 354 kills and 308 digs away from 1,000 for her career. Senior Kym Coley is 401 kills away from 1,000 for her career, and junior Crysten Curry is 80 blocks shy of 300 for her career, which will put her at seventh on the school's career list. Junior Kat Minnerly needs 555 assists for 2,000.
