Track & Field/Cross Country Coach Mincey Resigns

National search for replacement to begin immediately

STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Director of Athletics Tom Kleinlein accepted the resignation of Cross Country/Track & Field Coach Marlo Mincey, effective June 30, 2014. A national search for a replacement will begin immediately. Senior Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator Cathy Beene will chair the search committee.

Mincey completed her third year at Georgia Southern this spring after returning to head the cross country and indoor and outdoor track & field programs in June of 2011. The Eagles recently finished fifth in the SoCon Outdoor Track & Field Championships and third in the SoCon Indoor meet. Cross Country posted an 11th-place finish in last fall's league championships.
