Freshman Emily Snider had one of her best weekends of her career in the Eagles' trip to Appalachian State. The native of Tennile, Ga. went 4-for-8 with three of those hits going for extra bases. Due to that, she slugged 1.375 in the series with five RBIs. She now has five home runs on the season and was one of two Eagles to hit a pair of home runs on the weekend. The Eagle left fielder did not make an error in five chances.

Sarah Purvis continued her dominant form this weekend by picking up a pair of pitching victories as part of the Eagles' three-game sweep of Appalachian State. She pitched a shutout in game one, recording 12 strikeouts to match her season-high. The win gave Purvis the Georgia Southern career wins record on Coach Annie Smith's 100th career win. In the Sunday finale, Purvis worked around three Mountaineer runs, but never relinquished the lead to pick up her 15th win of the season.
