STATESBORO, GA.- Georgia Southern men's tennis notched a 4-3 win against Davidson this afternoon at the Wallis Tennis Center. This boosts the Eagles record up to 3-9 overall and 2-1 in the SoCon. Davidson's overall record matches GSU's, but in SoCon play the Wildcats are 0-1. This win marks the team's first win on their home courts.Â
Due to rain on Friday, March 7th, the match was postponed to this morning at 9am. Singles competition was played first, followed by doubles.
Albert Codina Sala tallied the first win for the Eagles, triumphing over DC's Ethan Kallick, 6-1, 6-2. Senior
Marco Osorio finished with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Evan Watkins in the No. 4 spot. Senior
Oliver Webb secured the third singles win for GSU, defeating Robert Lightbourn 7-5, 6-4.
Both teams headed into doubles competition with 3 points overall. GSU took the advantage when

Christian Kerrigan earned a win against Ethan Kallick and Evan Watkins, 8-6.

Albert Codina Sala secured the next doubles win over Alex Howard and Connor Evans, 8-4. This gave the Eagles their 4th and winning point.
The Eagles hit the courts against UNC Greensboro tomorrow, March 9th, at 12pm at the Wallis Tennis Center.
