ASHEVILLE, N.C. – MiMi DuBose tallied 20 points and three steals, and Georgia Southern led from tip to horn to post a 75-62 victory over Wofford in the Southern Conference Women's Basketball Tournament Friday morning in Kimmel Arena.

The Eagles (10-20) move on to face top-seed and regular-season champion Chattanooga Saturday at noon in Kimmel Arena. The Mocs have won 37 in a row against SoCon competition.

DuBose was 6-of-12 from the floor and made all eight free-throw attempts as Georgia Southern canned a season-high 29 from the charity stripe. Anna Claire Knight collected 15 points and five boards, and Briana Jones chipped in 12 points, 10 rebounds and three steals, her fifth double-double of the season.

Angel McGowan scored 11, and Sierra Kirkland finished with nine points and nine rebounds.

Chanel Stokes and Jordan Frazier each scored 17 points to lead Wofford (6-23), and Logan Morris netted 10. Kentra Washington chipped in eight points and seven rebounds.

The Eagles held the Terriers to 34.4 percent shooting, including a 5-for-24 mark from 3-point range. Georgia Southern shot 45 percent for the contest but went 0-for-9 from long distance. It was the first time Georgia Southern did not make a 3-pointer in a game since going 0-for-2 at Mercer in 2011.

"I'm really proud of our aggressiveness on both ends of the floor and our commitment to defending today," said Georgia Southern coach Chris Vozab. "We did a good job of attacking the paint, whether it was off the bounce, which helped us get to the free-throw line, or getting it into our post players, who were finishing aggressively today."

Leading by seven points midway through the second half, four different Eagles scored in an 8-0 run that made the margin 52-37. The Eagles led by 14 when Wofford used a 9-2 spurt to trim the margin to seven points on a Morris triple from the baseline with 3:46 remaining.

DuBose stopped the run by getting to the free-throw line for two, and after a defensive stop, McGowan added another pair of freebies with 3:12 to go. Frazier and Stokes scored consecutive baskets for Wofford, but DuBose and McGowan answered again with each hitting a pair from the foul line, pushing the margin back to 11 with 1:35 left. The Eagles went 7-for-10 from the line for the rest of the game to seal the win.

DuBose scored four points as the Eagles jumped out to a 6-0 lead to start the game, prompting a Terrier timeout. Wofford had to use another timeout less than a minute later to avoid getting a five-second call on an inbounds play.

Leading 8-6, Georgia Southern went on a 14-4 run, capped by a Danielle Spencer putback that opened a 12-point lead midway through the frame. The Eagles led 37-28 after a Kirkland jumper, but Frazier scored a layup after an offensive rebound with a second on the clock, trimming GSU's lead to 37-30 at the break.
