BIRMINGHAM, AL.- Georgia Southern women's tennis was defeated yesterday afternoon by Samford University, 7-0. The Eagles' record drops to 0-4 in the SoCon and 4-7 overall. Samford remains undefeated in the SoCon, and boast a 9-1 overall record.

The Bulldogs earned the first point, securing all three doubles matches. Going into singles play, Samford was on top.

At No. 3 singles, Stephanie Woods was defeated by Yasmeen Ebada, 6-1, 6-0. Paola Garrido was also defeated; Samford's Stephanie N'tcha notched the win at the No. 1 singles spot. Caitlin Kitchen fell to Lauren Caballero, 6-4, 6-1. The Bulldogs tallied three more wins, closing out the match at 7-0.

The Eagles face Western Carolina at the Wallis Tennis Center on Saturday, March 15th at 12pm.
