Storylines: Georgia Southern is 12-1 at home after a 4-0 weekend against Holy Cross and is set to host North Florida on Tuesday in the finale of a 13-game homestand. The two teams will meet for the 16th time in the last nine years. GSU comes into the contest on a seven-game win streak and will play just their second mid-week contest. North Florida enters the contest after winning two of three games at the Georgia Bulldog Invitational. The Ospreys defeated Western Carolina 4-2 in 10 innings and Buffalo 4-3 in 12 innings but dropped a 4-3 decision to Georgia.
Promotions: Tuesday's game is Beach Day. The best dressed beach themed fan will win a Georgia Southern prize pack. Fans can also win a prize pack by competing in baseball bingo. The North Florida contest will also see a number of fraternities and sororities competing to win a suite.
Series History: North Florida holds a two-game edge in the 16-game all-time series. Georgia Southern is 5-4 in Statesboro but lost both meetings a year ago, 5-4 and 5-2. The Eagles have just one win, 9-5 victory in 2012, in the last eight meetings. GSU won six of the first eight meetings when the series started in 2006 and swept the 2007 and 2008 meetings.
Team Scope
Ga. Southern: Georgia Southern has equaled the 2009 NCAA Regional squad with a 14-2 start to the season. The Eagles improved to 12-1 at home with a four-game sweep of Holy Cross over the Weekend. GSU has nearly equaled their 2013 win total at home in March. A year ago the Eagles won 16 games at J.I. Clements Stadium. GSU has 19 home contests left on the schedule and has a real shot to finish with 20 or more home victories for the first time since 2011, the last time they reached a NCAA Regional. The Eagles have won a season best seven-straight games and are hitting .354 with a 2.57 ERA during the streak. GSU has 10 or more hits in six of those seven games and in their last three contests.
North Florida: A 40 win and a NCAA Regional team from a year ago, North Florida is 6-7 after taking two games in extra innings in the Georgia Bulldog Invitational. The Ospreys have wins over Liberty, Richmond, Western Carolina, Fairfield and Buffalo this season. UNF has tallied nine hits in each of their last three games and have allowed more than five runs just once over their last nine games.
Who's Hot: Stryker Brown went seven for 16 with two home runs and four RBI last week. The senior outfielder is hitting a team-best .407 with a five home runs and 23 RBI this season. ... Drew Weeks has a hit in all 13-games this season. He is 23 of 52 on the year and has struck out just four times.

Eric Alonzo will make his second mid-week start of the season against North Florida. Alonzo held Georgia Tech to one run and one hit over two innings in his last start. Alonzo has not allowed a run over his last three outings, a span of 5.1 innings. Last time out, Alonzo allowed a hit over a scoreless 1.1 innings on Saturday against Holy Cross.
Bryan Baker's last outing came two weeks ago at North Carolina. Baker held the Tar Heels to two runs on three hits in a five-inning start on March 2. Baker also appeared against South Florida on Feb. 16 and allowed two runs over 0.2 innings. Baker is in his first season with the Ospreys. He joined the program from Choctawatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
