Barrow joins the Georgia Southern program after multi-sport career at Frederica Academy. The midfielder scored a hat trick in the 2013 GISA State Championship Game to secure the program's fifth State Championship and the third for Barrow as a player.
"Landon is a player that we have tracked for the last several years, so we're very familiar with what he will bring to our team," said Kennedy. "He is a very technical center midfielder that possesses very good field vision and creativity."
Barrow is a four-time All-Region and All-State performer on the pitch and has been named team captain for the 2013 and 2014 campaigns.
A player with a taste for winning, Barrow has been a part of GISA State Championships in Basketball (2011) and Football (2012). He also picked up All-Region and All-State honors during the 2012 and 2013 seasons as a place kicker.
"He has a solid understanding of defensive principles in midfield and he can also break down opposing teams on the dribble or with a pass," added Kennedy. "He also has outstanding work ethic and competitive desire."
The son of Billy and Dottie Barrow, Landon comes from a family which includes four collegiate athletes. His mother played tennis at Erskine while his father was a soccer player for the Flying Fleet. He has two older sisters playing collegiate soccer, one at Georgia Coastal State University and the other at College of Charleston.
