CHARLESTON, S.C.- Georgia Southern men's tennis suffered a loss (0-7) to College of Charleston on Saturday, February 22nd. The Eagles record drops to 1-8.
In singles play, the Eagles did not notch any wins, but played some close matches.
Albert Codina Sala won his first set against Rodrigo Encinas 6-4, but Encinas came back to win 6-1, 10-4.
Nico DeGroof played a tough match with Zack Lewis, but was defeated 7-5, 6-4.
In doubles competition,
Oliver Webb and
Christian Kerrigan teamed up and defeated Rodrigo Encinas and Josh Record, 8-5. GSU was unable to secure any more doubles matches, resulting in the Cougars scoring the doubles point.
The Eagles open SoCon play on Saturday, March 1st, at 11:30am against Furman.
