¦ Georgia Southern closes out the 2013-14 home schedule against Western Carolina Monday at 7 p.m.
¦ It will be the final home contest for seniors Brittney Benzio, Jordi Cook, Lacie Dowling, MiMi DuBose and Danielle Spencer.
¦ It's the second of two games against the Catamounts this season. Georgia Southern won 63-56 at Western Carolina Jan. 25.
¦ The Catamounts are currently eighth in the SoCon standings, while the Eagles are tied for sixth.
¦ The Eagles are 2-4 in their last six and coming off a 74-72 home win over Appalachian State Saturday evening.
¦ Georgia Southern is 4-7 at home and 3-5 in home league contests.
¦ Anna Claire Knight ranks third in the SoCon and leads GSU in scoring at 16.0 points a game. The junior has scored in double figures in 22 of the last 24 outings. She recorded the first triple-double in program history and the 11th in the country this season with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists at Samford Jan. 6.
¦ MiMi DuBose, who is averaging 11.3 points a contest, hit four 3-pointers at App Jan. 27 to become the school's career leader in triples. DuBose scored 16 points at Chattanooga Jan. 4 to top the 1,000-point mark for her career. She played in her 100th career contest vs. Davidson Jan. 18.
¦ Senior Danielle Spencer corralled four rebounds vs. Chattanooga Feb. 3 to reach 500 for her career. She is the 18th Eagle in program history to reach the milestone.
¦ Senior Lacie Dowling averages 7.8 points a game, and sophomore Briana Jones is averaging 7.8 points and 7.3 rebounds and has four double-doubles this season.
¦ Western Carolina is 3-4 in its last seven and coming off an 83-73 road loss at Davidson Saturday afternoon.
¦ Rena Wakama leads the Catamounts in scoring with 10.4 points a game.
¦ Lindsay Simpson has scored in double figures in each of her last six games and has hit 15 3-pointers while shooting 40 percent from downtown. She is averaging 9.6 points a contest.
¦ Erika Joseph is coming off consecutive career performances and had 16 points and 14 rebounds at Davidson.
¦ Ten Catamounts play 12 minutes or more a game, and only four play 20 minutes or more a contest. Justin Taylor leads the squad with 23.5 minutes a game and averages 8.8 points and 4.3 rebounds.

Series History
¦ The Eagles lead the all-time series 35-17. Western Carolina has won five of the last nine games, and Georgia Southern has won the last two.
¦ Six of the last 10 meetings have been decided by six points or less and two have gone into overtime.
¦ The series began with a 73-65 Eagle win at Western Carolina Jan. 16, 1982. GSU won the first eight meetings.
¦ Last meeting (1/25/14): Anna Claire Knight scored 17 points, and Georgia Southern held Western Carolina scoreless for a six-minute stretch in the second half to post a 63-56 win over the Catamounts in the Ramsey Activity Center.
¦ MiMi DuBose scored 14 points and hit two 3-pointers to tie the school career record of 167.
¦ Knight was 6-of-12 from the floor and hit all three of her 3-point attempts after leaving the game early with a bloody nose. Briana Jones collected 10 points and six rebounds for the Eagles, and Danielle Spencer tallied six points and seven rebounds. Lacie Dowling chipped in seven assists with just one turnover.
¦ Rena Wakama led Western Carolina with 17 points, and Shauna Terry notched 14 points and nine rebounds. Justin Taylor added 11 points and three assists.
¦ Georgia Southern shot a season-high 51 percent for the game, including a 53 percent mark in the second stanza (16-for-30). After giving up 13 offensive rebounds in the first frame, the Eagles allowed one in the second half and held the Catamounts to 34 percent shooting for the contest.
¦ Georgia Southern held Western Carolina without a basket for a stretch of 6:38 in the second half, which helped the Eagles take control of the game, pushing a one-point lead into a 13-point cushion.
¦ Clinging to a slim 41-40 advantage, the Eagles went on a 14-2 run as Angel McGowan came off the bench to score all six of her points during the stretch. The margin increased to 14 points on a pair of Knight free throws with 2:19 remaining.
¦ Last meeting in Hanner (1/7/13): DuBose scored 20 points and hit all five of her free-throw attempts down the stretch to lead Georgia Southern to a 52-50 victory.
¦ Western Carolina whittled an 11-point second-half deficit down to two points on three occasions in the last six minutes of the contest, but the Eagles, who lost two of their last three games by a basket, answered the bell each time.
¦ The last came on a Janae' McKinney layup that made the score 47-45 with 2:20 to go. After two Eagle offensive rebounds, DuBose was fouled on a 3-point try and hit all three free throws to push the lead back to five. Two McKinney free throws made the score 50-47, and the Catamounts got a steal on GSU's trip down the floor.
¦ After a timeout with 18 seconds left, Western Carolina opted to go for the tie, but Knight was there to block Makensey Campbell's 3-point shot. DuBose got the rebound, was fouled and added two more free throws, finishing the game 11-for-11 from the charity stripe.
¦ Campbell got a 3-pointer to go with 0.6 seconds left, and WCU called a timeout. The Eagles inbounded safely to Knight, and the buzzer sounded.
¦ DuBose finished with 20 points, and Knight collected 14 points and seven rebounds. Meredyth Frye, who played in her 100th career game, tallied nine points, three rebounds and a season-high five assists. Aishya Wofford finished with five points and a career-high 11 rebounds.
¦ McKinney scored 10 for the Catamounts, and Campbell finished with eight points and five rebounds. Kristen Lyon added eight points and six boards.
¦ The difference in the game came at the free-throw line, where Georgia Southern connected on 16-of-19 attempts and Western Carolina made 9-of-19.

¦ Danielle Spencer has two double-doubles this season. The senior had 12 points and 12 rebounds against Jacksonville State (11/16) and 12 points and 17 rebounds at Jacksonville (11/24).
¦ Spencer played in her 100th career game at Chattanooga (1/4).
¦ Lacie Dowling tied the school record with eight 3-pointers against Detroit (11/30) and scored a career-high 26 points in the game. She shares the record with Allie Rousseau, who notched eight triples vs. Appalachian State Feb. 8, 2000. The performance helped Dowling earn all-tournament honors at the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament.
¦ Dowling has played in every game this season and started the last 24. She tallied a career-high seven assists at Western Carolina Jan. 25.
¦ Anna Claire Knight is 71 points away from 1,000 and 11 rebounds away from 400 for her career. The junior has two career double-doubles.
¦ Sophomore Briana Jones, who sat out last season after transferring from James Madison, has four double-doubles in her first campaign playing for the Eagles. She has started 24 games.
¦ Senior Jordi Cook played in her 100th career game at Western Carolina Jan. 25. She was one of three Eagles to play in all 31 games in 2012-13.
¦ Sierra Kirkland scored a career high 12 points at Appalachian State (1/27). The sophomore has played in every game in her career.
¦ MiMi DuBose had a streak of 87 straight games and 83 consecutive starts come to an end at UNCG Feb. 10.
¦ Five Eagles scored in double figures at Appalachian State Jan. 27. It's the first time since early in the 2008-09 season that GSU placed five players in double figures.
¦ The Eagles' 90 points at Davidson (2/15) are the most they have scored against a Division I opponent since a 97-95 overtime loss to Western Carolina in the 2005 SoCon Tourney championship game.
¦ The Eagles improved to 29-9 in home openers with their 63-50 win over Jacksonville State Nov. 16.
¦ For the first time in four seasons, Georgia Southern opened conference play at home.
¦ Since the 2010-11 season, Georgia Southern has five losses by one point and 14 losses by five points or less.
¦ Georgia Southern dropped to 23-18 in season openers after falling to Auburn 69-59 Nov. 9.
