Men’s Basketball Faces Elon on Senior Day

Seniors Tre Bussey, Marvin Baynham and Brian Holmes to be honored before the game

STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Men's Basketball is back at home for the final time in the SoCon Era on Saturday afternoon when Elon comes to Hanner Fieldhouse for Senior Day 2014. It is also Pack the House in Pink Day for breast cancer awareness. The Eagles face the Phoenix at 2 p.m. and the Georgia Southern Women's Basketball Team faces Appalachian State at 4:30 p.m. Fans can get a ticket for both games for just $8.

The Eagles took a thrilling 77-61 win over Chattanooga on Thursday night to snap a four-game skid and move into a tie for sixth place in the SoCon standings. The victory bumped Chattanooga from second place in the standings and handed the Mocs their first league loss at home this season.

The Eagles have three games remaining before the SoCon Tournament which starts on March 7th in Asheville, N.C. Georgia Southern can finish no-higher than sixth in the standings and are guaranteed to play on the tournament's opening day.
