Men’s Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award

Eagles record a 3.0 team GPA to pick up 2013 award

STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Men's Soccer is one of 273 collegiate teams across all divisions to earn the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) team academic award for 2013. The Eagles recorded a team GPA of 3.02 to pick up the award.

It is the second-straight season that the Eagles have earned the honor. Overall, the Eagles have won four NSCAA team academic awards since the honor was instituted in 1996.

The Eagles are one of five SoCon teams to earn the award. Georgia Southern joins the Sun Belt Conference next season in the league's first season sponsoring the sport since 1995.
