Men's Tennis Earns A Victory Over Bethune-Cookman

DAYTONA BEACH, FL.- Georgia Southern men's tennis earned their first win of the season against Bethune-Cookman on Sunday, February 16th. The Eagles prevailed over the Wildcats 5-2, improving their record to 1-7.

"We've been fighting hard and giving ourselves opportunities late in sets," said head coach Nick Zieziula.  "I'm proud of the way we have kept battling and today we did a great job finishing in the doubles. We finished leads much better today."

In singles play, Oliver Webb defeated Santiago Lobelo 6-4, 6-2. Albert Codina Sala succeeded over Walid Gtari 4-6, 6-4, 10-7. Marco Osorio and Christian Kerrigan were defeated, but Kyle Hoffman and Nico DeGroof both secured wins for the Eagles.

The Eagles notched wins in all three doubles matches, earning the doubles point for GSU.
