Eagles reach finals week with six games in the book
STATESBORO, GA. – The time has come for final exams on the Georgia Southern campus, and that means a break from games and a focus on the classroom. The Eagles have played six games, posting a 4-2 record which included a pair of close losses to Illinois and UCF. Following finals week the Eagles will play three games before opening Sun Belt play on December 30th.

WIEDEMAN NEARING 1,000
Trent Wiedeman joined Georgia Southern with 893 career points after three seasons at College of Charleston. He has opened this season with 14.5 points per game and needs just 20 more points to reach 1,000 career points.
HEWITT MOVES INTO TOP-20
In the Eagles' loss to UCF on December 2nd, Jelani Hewitt moved into the top-20 in career scoring at Georgia Southern. He now sits in a tie for 18th with 1,393 career points.
EAGLES COMMIT TO REBOUNDING
Georgia Southern has made a commitment to rebounding this year and won the battle of the glass in four of the first six games. The Eagles out-rebounded Illinois by nine and FIU by seven despite being undersized in both games.
BUSSEY EARNS SPOT IN NBADL
Former Eagle Tre Bussey was named to the NBADL's Idaho Stampede recently. Bussey was picked in the first round of the NBADL draft. Through the season's first eight games, Bussey has started two games and averaged 10.1 points per game in 22.6 minutes. He is shooting 37% from the field and 37% from downtown, helping the Stampede to a 3-5 start.
