Eagles Travel to UCF on Tuesday Night

The game, which can be seen on ESPN3, opens a three-game road swing

STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Men's Basketball, which is off to its best start in more than a decade, travels to play Central Florida on Tuesday night  The 7:30 game can be seen live on ESPN3, and opens a three-game road swing. GS will look to snap a seven-game skid in the state of Florida which dates back to a 95-63 win over Florida A&M in Tallahassee on December 28th, 1999.

BUSSEY EARNS SPOT IN NBADL
Former Eagle Tre Bussey was named to the NBADL's Idaho Stampede recently. Bussey was picked in the first round of the NBADL draft. Through the season's first six games, Bussey has scored 9.3 ppg leading the team off the bench. He is also shooting 43% from downtown.

EAGLES COMMIT TO REBOUNDING
Georgia Southern has made a commitment to rebounding this year and won the battle of the glass in four of the first five games. The Eagles out-rebounded Illinois by nine and FIU by seven despite  eing undersized in both games.

CAREER HIGHS FOR HEWITT IN OPENER
Jelani Hewitt opened his senior season with a pair of career-highs in the loss at Illinois. He recorded eight assists, one better than his previous career high set last year. Hewitt also attempted 14 three-pointers, the seventh-best single game total in school history.

Conditions around UCF's Magic Kingdom should be pleasant with a high of 75 degrees on tap for Tuesday under partly cloudy skies. A chance of thunderstorms exists in the evening along the I-4 corridor.

UP NEXT
The Eagles return to Statesboro to focus on the classroom with final exams set for next week. Georgia Southern is back on the hardwood on December 15th with a trip to face South Florida. The three-game road swing closes later that week with a trip to Stetson on Dec. 18.
