Parsons finishes 2nd out of 37 in 1650 Freestyle
Final Meet Results | Day Three Results
Charlotte, Nc. – The final day of the Wingate Fall Frenzy was completed Sunday from the Mecklenburg County Aquatics Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Eagles finished the meet in 6th place among 14 teams that competed. Day three featured preliminary heats and finals for the 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly and 400 free relay.
The evening of finals competition opened with a bang for Georgia Southern as Kylee Parsons cruised to a 2nd place finish in the 1650 freestyle event. The event, the longest distance of the entire meet, saw Parsons finish in 17:13.36 a full 4 seconds ahead of 3rd place. Teammate Katlyn Jones touched in 11th place with a time of 17:58.24 while Hannah Rogers was just behind her in 12th place with a time of 18:03.05.
Qualifying for the A final of the 100 free, Elaina Lanson finished with a time of 51.97 which was good enough for a 7th place finish. Lauren Campbell finished 6th in the 200 fly by posting a time of 2:08.26, while teammate Sarah Schwartz finished 12th overall in the 200 backstroke with a finals time of 2:07.85.
The final event of the night, the 400 free relay, saw Georgia Southern's A team of Parsons, Moran, Madison Lichtefeld, and Lanson finished 7th overall with a time of 3:32.76
