- Senior Anna Claire Knight was named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Team in the coaches poll, and the Eagles were picked to finish 10th.
- Knight and junior Briana Jones were named Preseason All-Sun Belt by College Sports Madness.
- Knight has 1,033 career points, 427 rebounds and 141 assists. No player in program history has recorded over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 200 assists for their career.

- Anna Claire Knight led Georgia Southern with 14 points, and Aishya Wofford tallied four points and a team-high eight rebounds.
- The Eagles led 20-12 with time winding down in the first half, but Chantel Kennedy got an offensive rebound for the Owls, and Holliday scored a runner as the buzzer sounded. That bucket ignited a 13-0 run for KSU as Holliday hit three consecutive 3-pointers, and the Owls opened a 25-20 lead early in the second period.Â
