Rifle Post New Program High at SEARC 3

DAHLONEGA, Ga. - Four members of the Georgia Southern women's rifle team posted season highs as the Eagles posted a new program best score of 4221 at SEARC 3 on Sunday.

The Eagles posted a new small bore program record (2007) and shot 2214 in air rifle. Tori Lewis posted a new program best in small bore while four members of the rifle team tallied new season highs in air rifle.

Lewis led all shooters in air rifle with a season-best score of 567 and was also first among the Eagles in small bore (541). Emmy Johnson finished just one point behind Lewis with a score of 566 in air rifle. Ale Shortridge (542) and Jennifer Middlebrook (539) rounded out the counters for the Eagles. 

Shortridge finished second to Lewis in small bore and posted a score of 499. Johnson was third with a mark of 490, while Middlebrook rounded out the counters with a score of 577. 

The Georgia Southern rifle team returns to action on November 15 at SEARC 4 in Charleston, S.C.
