Eagles play first Sun Belt Conference match against Hawks on Sunday
STATESBORO, GA. – After four-straight games on the road, Georgia Southern Men's Soccer is back at home on Sunday afternoon against Hartwick. The Eagles' Sun Belt opener starts at 2 p.m. at the friendly confines. Admission to the match is free and the contest can be seen live on GS All-Access at GSEagles.com

SPREADING THE GOALS AROUND
This season, 12 different Eagles have scored goals for Georgia Southern entering the league opener. Dalton Churchwell, Josh Ward, Adam Abdellaoui, Landon Barrow, Nick Wells and Thor Svienbjornsson have scored opened their scoring accounts at GS with goals this year.
SUN BELT OPENER
For the first time since the 1992 season, Georgia Southern opens play in a new conference. The Eagles won their SoCon opener against Marshall in 1992 and are 8-13-3 all-time in league openers.
FIRST MATCH AGAINST HARTWICK
On Sunday the Eagles face the Hartwick Hawks for the first time in series history. All three of the Eagles' home Sun Belt games this season are against teams that Georgia Southern has never played before on the men's soccer pitch.
SUN BELT TOURNAMENT COMING SOON TO STATESBORO
Along with joining a new conference, Georgia Southern Men's Soccer will have another first in November of 2014 when the Eagles host the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. It will be the first time that the Eagles have hosted a postseason men's soccer tournament at Eagle Field.
2014 GATA GAME SET FOR OCTOBER 18TH
The 2014 Men's Soccer GATA Game is set for October 18th against Sun Belt foe Howard. The marquee contest is a chance for all Georgia Southern student-athletes to come together and support each other.

Georgia Southern faces Howard on Saturday, October 18th, at 7 p.m. Admission to the 2014 GATA Game is free as the Eagles play their penultimate home game of the season. The match can also be seen live on GS All-Access at GSEagles.com.
