Men’s Basketball Holds Military Appreciation Day on Thursday

GS Football will also be honored at halftime
STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Athletics holds its annual Military Appreciation Day on Thursday night during the men's basketball contest against The Citadel. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Hanner Fieldhouse. Get your tickets by calling 1-800-GSU-WINS.
All active duty and retired military personnel will get in free while their families can get admission for a discounted rate. At halftime the Georgia Southern ROTC program will hold a swearing in ceremony for students joining the armed forces.
Also at halftime, the Georgia Southern football team will be recognized for their win over Florida in November.
Fans will also have a chance to win $5,000 in the Walker Pharmacy Shootout and another qualifier will identified for the One 11 South/University Village at Southern #7,000 Half-Court Shot contest.
