STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Men's Soccer returns to the pitch on Sunday afternoon for the 2013 SoCon Opener against Davidson at Eagle Field. The 2013 GATA Game starts at 2 p.m. and can be seen live on GS All-Access on GSEagles.com.
The Eagles are 4-4-0 entering league play and took a 3-2 win over Presbyterian College on Tuesday night to close a run of three matches in five days.

Hunter Norton scored late in the second overtime to give GSU the win on a night that saw 37 shots by the boys in blue.

Witt Carlisle has been a dangerous player for the Eagle attack, scoring twice in the regular season including once on Tuesday night. The senior also has two assists to his name.
Davidson opened SoCon play last weekend by dropping a 2-1 result on the road to Wofford. The Terriers scored in the 51st and 55th minutes to take a 2-0 advantage, but the Wildcats roared back in the 59th minute to cut the lead to 2-1.
The Wildcats are 4-3-1 overall and are paced by Valeriy Sviderskiy with four goals. Max Pragnell has pitched in by adding five assists and a goal to have a hand in 50% of Davidson's scoring this season.
The Eagles have a week's rest before returning to league play next Saturday against Wofford at the friendly confines. This will be the Terriers' second trip to Eagle Field after they opened the year in the SoCon/Big South Challenge in Statesboro. Next Saturday's game is Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night.
