Rifle Returns to Competition Against North Georgia
Eagles face Nighthawks in Griffin, Ga.
Women's Rifle vs. North Georgia Nighthawks

Georgia Southern (0-1) – Coach: Tim Parks
In its first ever competition as a program, Georgia Southern posted a solid performance against Wofford and nearly earned a win. The Terriers, however, out-shot the Eagles 2180-2159. Kathryn Youngblood posted the best individual score, shooting a 561. Alejandra Shortridge added a 544 and Becky Collier tallied a 530. Saturday's meet against North Georgia will be the first of three meetings with the Nighthawks this season. The Eagles will travel to Dahlonega, Ga. on Nov. 9 and again on Feb. 15.
North Georgia (0-0) – Coach: Tori Kostecki
North Georgia opened its 2013-14 season with a first place finish in the Senior Military Championship at VMI. The Nighthawks mixed rifle team shot a record-breaking smallbore team score of 2187 and finished second in air rifle with a 2266 score. Casadie Bragg led the team with a score of 582. Ruthanne Conner was second with a score of 577. North Georgia bested the Citadel's men's team by two points to win the Championship. VMI finished third with an aggregate score of 4390, while Wofford was fourth with a score of 4320.
