Tim Parks enters his third season as the head women's rifle coach at Georgia Southern University. Parks helped found the team in 2013 and has served as the program's only coach.
Parks led the rifle program in its first match against the Wofford Terriers, a narrow 2180-2159 loss, and was at the helm when the program beat the Terriers for the first-ever program victory on October 27, 2013. The Eagles won 2234-2232 in Charleston, S.C. for the first time in school history.
The Eagles finished the 2013-14 season with a 1-2 dual match record and posted a season-high of 2259 in air rifle at the SEARC Championship in Charleston, S.C.
Parks led Georgia Southern to a 1-0 record in the 2014-15 season. The Eagles opened the season with a 2251-2356 win over Georgia Military College.
Parks added the small bore discipline to the program for the October 4, 2014 SEARC 2 meet. He led the squad to a season-high score of 4306 at SEARC 7 and posted a 2248 at the SEARC Championship.
Parks serves as an instructor in the ROTC program on campus and has experience as a military shooting instructor.
Parks graduated from Central Texas College in 2014 and has two kids Aiden and Ashton.
