STORY LINES
- Georgia Southern looks to close out the non-conference schedule with the return-leg against Campbell ... The Eagles fell to the Fighting Camels 75-73 on November 30th in Statesboro ... Georgia Southern has won two of the last three games in the series and are 4-4 all-time against Campbell.
- Jelani Hewitt enters the North Carolina A&T game as the No. 1 ranked scorer in the Southern Conference with 21.1 ppg and ranks 23rd in scoring nationwide ... He scored 38 points earlier this season against Campbell and has twice been named SoCon Player of the Week ... He has scored in double figures 13 of 14 games this season and has gone over 20 points in scoring for eight of the 14 games this year.
- Hewitt was also named SoCon Player of the Month for November 2013, averaging 24.5 ppg in the opening month of the season.
- Tre Bussey ranks second in scoring for the Eagles and is one of the leading shooters on the team from downtown with a 39.8% mark ... Overall, he has 18.2 ppg to rank fourth in the SoCon ... He has scored over 20 points in seven of the 14 games this season.
- Angel Matias had a career night against South Carolina State with 22 points and nine rebounds ... The junior transfer scored a career-high and posted over 20 points for the first time in his career ... Overall, he leads the Eagles with 6.6 rebounds per game.
- Brian Holmes had a career night last time out with 19 points and seven assists at Georgia State ... The senior point guard upped his career-best scoring from 17 which came earlier this year at Miami.
