- Georgia Southern Men's Basketball is at home for the second time in five days as the Eagles welcome Brewton-Parker College to Hanner Fieldhouse.
- Tonight's game is the 21st in program history between Brewton-Parker and Georgia Southern with the Eagles' leading the series 18-2 and taking 13-straight victories over the Barons ... Georgia Southern has won over the Barons in each of the last three seasons ... The 13-game win streak over the Barons is the longest winning streak against any opponent in 2013-14.
- Jelani Hewitt enters the week as the defending SoCon Player of the Week after averaging 27.7 ppg in three contests last weekend ... Hewitt capped the week with 38 points last Saturday night against Campbell ... He also had 11 rebounds for his first career double-double.
- Hewitt leads the Southern Conference in scoring and ranks seventh nationally with 24.5 ppg ... Hewitt has gone over 20 points in scoring for six of the eight games this season.
